Whether a side effect of the tours on surrounding weekends or suspicions of rain, the turnout this evening was the smallest thus far this season. The optimists amongst us who arrived to race, though, were treated to conditions which were far superior, both in temperature and wind, to last week, and hence, despite the longer distance and the leading and trailing 2km of bumps, all nine of us who rode both nights were faster tonight. As well, two improved upon their previous best databased 15km best, new WTT participant Julia Fournier and Dianne Marleau who is enjoying her third year of time trialling.
